Dr. Courtney Hartsell
Dr. Courtney Hartsell is a small-animal veterinarian with a special passion for feline medicine and a strong commitment to providing compassionate, individualized care to every patient she meets. A Louisiana native, Dr. Hartsell grew up in River Ridge and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2021, completing her clinical training at Texas A&M University.
Before joining Riverside Hospital, Dr. Hartsell practiced both general and feline-focused medicine, gaining experience in preventive care, internal medicine, and routine soft-tissue surgery. Her time in feline-only practice further strengthened her appreciation for the unique needs of cats and the importance of creating a calm, low-stress veterinary experience. She is passionate about applying those same principles of thoughtful handling and individualized care to both feline and canine patients.
Dr. Hartsell enjoys building lasting relationships with her clients and believes that clear communication and client education are essential to helping pets live longer, healthier lives. Her professional interests include feline medicine, preventive wellness, internal medicine, and routine soft-tissue surgery.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Hartsell enjoys spending time with her husband and their cats, Mochi and Nelson, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
